IEEE International Symposium on Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks
11-14 November 2019 // Newark, NJ, USA

Call for Papers

As a key technology for next-generation cellular and Wi-Fi networks, millimeter-wave (mmWave) communication can achieve multi-Gbps wireless data rate and can support a broad class of new applications from communications to localization, sensing, and imaging. The IEEE DySPAN 2019 Workshop on mmWave Communications and Networks will bring together researchers from academia and industry to present and discuss novel ideas on the design, optimization, and implementation of mmWave communication networks and systems.

Topics of Interest

We invite submissions in a wide range of millimeter wave research including but not limited to:

  • Channel measurement and modeling for mmWave networks in different environments
  • Channel capacity and network capacity analysis for mmWave communication systems
  • Beamforming, beam alignment and steering techniques for mmWave communications
  • MIMO and MU-MIMO for mmWave networks and systems
  • Intersection between mmWave communication networks with spectrum sensing and sharing techniques
  • mmWave back-haul and small cells
  • Design, implementation, and experimentation of mmWave hardware and systems
  • Design and evaluation of mmWave medium access control (MAC)
  • Design of mmWave network architecture and cross-layer protocols
  • mmWave radar and imaging, sensing, tracking, and localization systems
  • mmWave radar for intra-vehicular communication
  • Security and privacy in mmWave networks and systems

New communication scenarios and applications supported by mmWave communications such as relaying, AR/VR, and drone-based networks
